Pisces Season

To me, Pisces Season feels like a perfect way to end the astrological year.

As the twelfth sign in the zodiac, it wraps things up nicely by focusing on spiritual and dreamy energy, very high-chakra stuff. It’s a time to let your life flow and realize you are a part of the larger universe. Withhold your expectations and become an observer of your life.

It can be hard to stop your reactions, but one way to live a mindful life it to recognize an emotion for what it is and let it pass through your body. Emotions pass through our bodies quite quickly, but we prolong their effect by entertaining thoughts and conversations about them.

To truly understand what Pisces Season is all about, let’s dive deeper into the details.

In 2023, Pisces Season begins on February 18 and lasts until the start of the astrological new year/Aries Season/spring on March 20.

History and Constellation

The story of Pisces comes from Babylonia. They believed the constellation to be a pair of fish joined by a cord. Because of this, it’s associated with the Roman myth of Venus and Cupid, who also tied themselves together and turned into fish to escape Typhon, a monster.

The constellation indeed looks like a diagonal “V” with two circles on the two ends of the V. Once you look at it, it’s easy to see why the Babylonians believed it was two fish tied together.

Pisces Season Stats

Pisces Season comes with its own list of characteristics. These are some of them.

House

Pisces is at home in the twelfth house, which is the house of spirituality. It’s the last house before moving into the subconscious or lower half of the birth chart.

Planet

Pisces is traditionally ruled by Jupiter, but in modern astrology, it’s ruled by Neptune. Neptune is the planet of dreams.

Symbol

Pisces is symbolized by the fish, which originates from its constellation.

Element

Pisces is a water sign, and therefore associated with emotion and intuition. Pisces is also a very empathic sign.

Quality/Modality

Since it’s the last winter season before transitioning to spring, Pisces is a mutable sign. These signs can be more flexible and easier to adapt than other types of signs. However, sometimes that can show up as being wavering or wishy-washy.

Chakra

Pisces is associated with the third eye chakra. This is where you get information from your soul and is associated with your intuition.

Pisces Season Activities

Pisces is a very empathic, healing, and intuitive sign. It’s a perfect time to do activities that align with this energy. Taking long baths, doing restorative yoga, and lots of mediation is great for Pisces Season.

Moonstone and Amethyst are also great stones to have available during this season.
